Management

LUFA Speyer is managed by Dr. Diana Bunzel (Scientific and Technical Director) and Jan Jungkind (Commercial Director). Together they represent LUFA Speyer as an independant enterprise of the District Association of the Palatinate in legal transactions. Dr. Dieter Martens and Viktor März have been appointed as their deputies.

Our departments

In addition to staff units in the areas of Technical Services, Quality Management, GLP Quality Assurance, Finance, Human Resources and IT, our team is organized into eight specialist departments. The heads of department are available to you as competent contacts in their specialist areas. You will find a wide range of specialist expertise under one roof. Thanks to the close internal cooperation of our scientists and their intensive networking and committee work, we guarantee a high quality of advice, even for complex and interdisciplinary issues.

Microbiological, molecular biological and microscopic analyses

  • Microbiological quality assessment of feedstuff and drinking water
  • Microscopic examination of feedstuff
  • Determination of pathogenic microorganisms in feedstuff, fertilizers and drinking water
  • Determination of probiotic microorganisms in feedstuff
  • Testing of feedstuff and seed samples for genetically modified organisms (GMOs)

Organic valuable and harmful substances, residues

  • Determination of pesticide active substances and their degradation products, e.g. in produce, feedstuff, plants and plant protection spray liquids
  • GLP studies of category 6 (residue studies)
  • Determination of organic contaminants, e.g. in produce, soil, sewage sludge/fertilizers, feedstuff, water

Inorganic valuable and harmful substances

  • Determination of macro-/micronutrients and heavy metals in soil, plants, fertilizers, feedstuff, drinking water for animals and well water
  • Analysis of forest samples (humus, soil, leaf and needle samples, water) in accordance with the Handbook for Forestry Analysis (HFA)
