Speyer Waste Management Open House on September 27, 2026

Visit our information booth at the Entsorgungsbetriebe Speyer (EBS) Open House on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the waste management facility on Sonnenberg in Speyer. There, we will present our work in the field of analyzing valuable and hazardous substances, as well as the agricultural use of sewage sludge. 

Overall, EBS has put together a diverse and interesting program on the topics of waste and wastewater, including guided tours of the waste management facility—featuring the “Tent of Good Things”—the wastewater treatment plant, Speyer’s Sonnenberg, and the BHYO test facility (hydrogen project). There will also be games and fun for all ages, such as a bounce house, a waste sorting game, a trash can race, and feeding “Freddy”… bring your old cell phones! Food will be available on site.
