LÜRV-A Sewage Sludge interlaboratory test, organics subsection
As part of the enforcement of the Sewage Sludge, Biowaste and Fertilizer Ordinance, a nationwide interlaboratory test for waste (LÜRV-A) is offered annually for all parameter areas of the waste module. Successful participation in the LÜRV-A Sewage Sludge, Soil or Biowaste is part of the proof of competence for laboratories and, according to the waste module, a necessary prerequisite for their notification to carry out tests according to AbfKlärV, Bio-AbfV and BBodSchV.
Passing the respective interlaboratory comparison is recognized as proof of qualification by the notification bodies of all German federal states. The external quality test for sewage sludge is carried out in cooperation with the Bavarian State Research Centre for Agriculture (LfL), Freising, with the LfL Freising taking the lead. The main aim of this external quality inspection is to check the quality of the analysis of sewage sludge within the framework of the specifications. Attention is paid to the comparability of quality standards in the various federal states.
The following sub-sections of the LÜRV-A Sewage Sludge interlaboratory test are supervised and evaluated by LUFA Speyer:
- FMA 1.5: Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) according to § 5 para. 2 AbfKlärV
- FMA 1.6: Polychlorinated dibenzodioxins/furans (PCDD/F) and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (dl-dioxins) according to § 5 para. 2 AbfKlärV
- FMA 1.7: Benzo(a)pyrene according to § 5 para. 2 AbfKlärV
- FMA 1.8: Polyfluorinated compounds with the individual substances perfluorooctanoic acid and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOA/PFOS) according to § 5 para. 2 AbfKlärV
