Campaign week “Speyer says NO! to violence against women and children”

This year, too, we would like to draw attention to the City of Speyer’s “Speyer Says NO! to Violence Against Women and Children” awareness week.

Violence has many faces and we encounter it everywhere:

At home, at work, in public spaces, online. In Germany, every third woman experiences physical and/or sexualized violence at least once in her life; girls and women with disabilities experience violence two to three times more often than the population average, depending on the form of violence. Domestic and sexualized violence does not stop at children.

Children are always affected in violent relationships. The number of underage victims of sexualized violence has continued to rise in recent years, and the sharp increase in child pornography online is particularly worrying. With the Campaign Week against Violence, the city of Speyer wants to draw attention to the various forms of violence against women and children, provide information and create preventative offers.

Violence against women and children concerns all of us. Do not look away!
