What does animal welfare actually mean—and can we really tell how well animals are faring in the agricultural sector?

This lecture offers fascinating insights into modern livestock farming, provides a clear explanation of current animal welfare labels, and challenges common assumptions about organic farming, barn sizes, and “happy animals.” It also explores whether, under certain conditions, farm animals might actually be better off than wild animals. Concrete real-world examples and scientific findings bring the topic to life and encourage participants to think critically about the issues.

Please note that the presentation will be given in German.
